I need to add a new note to a specific set of clients, from an advanced search. I can't find this function.
Can anybody help please?
From your 'Search Result', select any one of the buttons
That seems so obvious now. Thanks so much!
We use this feature all the time and love it. One thing to keep in mind, this will create one file note shared with all the clients in the search result. If someone deletes this note against any of the linked clients, it deletes the note for all clients.
It is important to make sure users know how to add/remove entities from file notes rather than just deleting notes.
The new XPLAN feature of seeing the Related Entities column in the Document List is a great way to quickly see if a note is shared across more than one client.
This is just a warning we give people when using the above feature that may come in handy in the future if deleting file notes is enabled for your group!
Good Morning Ashleigh,
You can do this by running your advanced search, use the top radio button to tick all clients.
Click on the action button on the left hand of the client and you will have the option “Add Note to All”.
This will bring up a document note box for you to add what you need to do your selection of client, then just save and close.
I hope this helps.
