A user has created an insurance policy but set up ownership to a hidden entity. When trying to view the policy a permission denied error occurs. How can the policy be viewed and/or deleted if Xplan denies access?
Can you confirm how the client entity has been hidden? For example, if the entity isn't within the user's permitted Groups (because another user with broader permissions/capabilities has created the link) access will be denied.
The user was adding a policy from within the client record. When adding the policy owner they selected "Other hidden client" from the picklist and added a company name. Once they saved the policy it disappeared and cannot be opened.
I'm guessing that the 'view' being used is 'By Policy' (ie. all policies owned by that client). If you select the 'By Cover' page you should see the entry (as highlighted in the following):
Creating the 'Hidden Entity'
'By Policy' view/page
'By Cover' view/page
Don't have that view. However, I can see the policy in the insurance policy search but i cannot view the policy when i try from the drop down button.
Something to address with the System Administrator as it is a ‘standard’ view.
