In Michael Kinens's recent blog about Can your team future proof your business?, he touched on our IRESS annual Hackathon, a high energy 24 hour event which sees our staff forming teams around a problem or idea, and building a unique solution from scratch.
Since the last Hackathon in May, lots of ideas have been in production, and now including the winning idea iAssist which we launched this month as part of XPLAN 2.23 release.
The idea is a simple one, however the solution is a clever combination of insight, idea and action. iAssist allows XPLAN users globally to grant an IRESS support team member temporary and secure access to their individual XPLAN session within a few seconds. Users needing the service will be able to securely-generate a unique token within XPLAN, which won’t require the exchange of any username and password details.
This enables us to rapidly respond in real-time in a transparent, secure and efficient way, without the limitations and frustrations of screen-sharing software installations. And iAssist balances our desire to further improve user experience, help clients and users continue to increase business efficiency and ensure the security of our systems and services are beyond reproach.
