Many of the clients you engage have never undertaken or experienced 'financial planning' and would therefore benefit from some 'hand-holding'. Having a 'map', or more precisely a graphic which outlines your process and highlights exactly where they are at in that process, will greatly assist.


Establishing efficient workflows within your business are critical if you aim to provide each of your clients with a consistent and referable experience.  Well thought out workflows which leverage technology will pay for themselves as they automate the mundane and provide you and your staff with valuable time to focus on the real value-add activities.  In the following example a Task within a Thread (XPLAN's workflow engine) has been used to automatically deliver this update to the client via email.  As we progress through the exercise an updated graphic is (again) automatically sent at key stages.
