Effective Document Management: Using your iPad to create file notes

Overview

Using Apple Pages on the iPad, documents can efficiently be filed back into XPLAN' ensuring that key material is always captured in a consistent and reliable fashion.  ActionManager ensures that documents can be effectively tracked and facilitates the automation of follow up activities as soon as documents are 'returned'.  For more on this, see Adding barcodes to your documents  

 

 

Capturing your information.

Complete your updates/changes to the document and, when ready to 'file away' your work, select 'Send a Copy' from the 'Share' menu item.

The document format.

Select PDF from the format options available:

The 'transport' mechanism.

Pages will briefly display the following screen before presenting the options available:

Select WebDAV from the available options.

Providing credentials.

The first time you use the WebDAV option you will be required to provide:

  • the Server Address: this is your XPLAN site URL appended with /dav/actionmanager
  • your Username: this is your XPLAN username
  • your Password: this is your XPLAN password

 

Finally, select 'Sign In'.

If you have previously logged in, select 'Send'.

Pages will display the progress of the document being copied up to XPLAN.
